The Eraser on Procreate

The Eraser on Procreate

In this blog post, I’m going to answer three questions about the eraser on Procreate. These 3 questions are: 1. How do I erase on Procreate? 2. What are some problems I might have when erasing and how do I fix them? 3. What is the best eraser brush?

How do I erase on Procreate?

How do you erase in Procreate? Tap the eraser symbol that is up in the top right corner. Then, you can erase.

What are some problems I might have when erasing and how do I fix them?

There are a few problems you might have when erasing if you’re not familiar to Procreate. For example, the eraser might be too big or small. The eraser could seem to not be erasing or barely erasing. The eraser could be erasing in an irregular, unpredictable way. How do you fix these problems? Fix these problems by following the instructions below.

1. The eraser is too big or small.

To adjust the size of the eraser, you need to use the side bar. The side bar should be on the left side of your screen, but there’s a small change it could be on the right side. The side bar should have two sliders. In this case, the top slider changes the size of the eraser. Drag the slider up to increase the size. Drag it down to decrease the size.

If you change the size and the eraser is still too small, then you need to change the eraser’s brush. Why? Some brushes have an extremely small maximum brush size. If you like the brush, but it is too small, you could change the brush’s maximum brush size. To learn how to do that, click here.

To change the eraser’s brush, click the eraser again. This will bring up the brush library. Choose a new brush. If you would like eraser brush suggestions, check out the ‘What is the best eraser brush?’ section.

2. The eraser isn’t erasing or is barely erasing.

The reason the eraser is acting this way is because of opacity. How do you change the opacity? To change the opacity of your eraser, you need to adjust the bottom slider on the side bar. This slider is for opacity. The higher the slider, the more opaque the eraser will be, meaning the more it will erase. The lower the slider, the more transparent the eraser will be, meaning it won’t erase as much.

If you change the opacity to 100% and the eraser is still barely erasing, then you need to change the eraser’s brush. The eraser’s brush determines how the eraser erases. For example, if the eraser’s brush is a cloud brush, when you erase it will look like you just made a cloud instead of you just erased a part of your drawing. Some brushes are naturally more opaque or transparent, affecting the way the eraser works. Some brushes even have transparent parts in them that don’t erase. To change the eraser’s brush, click the eraser again. This will bring up the brush library. Choose a new brush. If you would like eraser brush suggestions, check out the ‘What is the best eraser brush?’ section.

3. The eraser erases irregularly.

This is caused by the eraser’s brush. Some brushes are motion filtered, shaped oddly, or naturally more opaque or transparent, affecting the way the eraser works. For example, if the eraser’s brush is a cloud brush, when you erase it will look like you just made a cloud instead of you just erased a part of your drawing. To change the eraser’s brush, click the eraser again. This will bring up the brush library. Choose a new brush. If you would like eraser brush suggestions, check out the ‘What is the best eraser brush?’ section.

What is the best eraser brush?

My personal favorite brush for erasing is a brush I call the ‘Everything brush’. Why do I like this brush so much? This brush can be big or small. This brush can go as big as possible on Procreate. It can also go as small as possible on Procreate. This means I can erase those small things easily and quickly erase big mistakes. This brush is a simple, round brush that leaves nothing behind when it is at full opacity. I call this the ‘Everything brush’ because you can use it for everything, painting or erasing, big or small. You can get the ‘Everything brush’ from our website, or check it out below.

There are 2 brushes that are included with Procreate that I would suggest for erasing.

1. Hard Airbrush.

This brush is like the ‘Everything brush’, but if you don’t press hard enough, it will be transparent. Also, this brush can’t go as big as the ‘Everything brush’ can. You can find this brush in the Airbrushing section of the brush library.

2. Monoline

This brush is also like the ‘Everything brush’, but it is motion filtered, meaning it will be filtered so it looks smoother. This means you have to go slower. This brush has the smallest brush size of all of the brushes I’ve suggested so far.

That’s all for this blog post. I hope you enjoyed and will check out our other blog posts. Also check out our brushes for Procreate and join our email list. Thanks for reading!
