How to invoke quick menu - Procreate’s quick menu

Before I show you how to invoke quick menu on Procreate, there’s something you need to know; there’s a way to get Procreate tips and tricks sent to your inbox. How? Sign up for our email list! To sign up, click the tab in the bottom left corner of your screen, or learn more.

How do you invoke quick menu on Procreate? Quick Menu, by default, can’t be invoked unless you choose to turn it on. You have to go to actions>prefs>gesture controls>quick menu. Then choose one of the ways to activate Quick Menu and switch that toggle on. Then click ‘Done’ and do the required action to turn Quick Menu on. I would suggest the invoking action be a finger touch while holding the modify button.

Before you go and activate Quick Menu though, you need to know that applying an invoking action to Quick Menu may disrupt other things on procreate. When you switch a toggle on, look to the left side of the screen. If you see a warning sign, click that section. Then choose another way to activate that feature.

Look at the pictures below. As you can tell, after I activated a Quick Menu invoking action, a warning sign came up. I then went to that section and realized that it had the same invoking action as the one I activated for Quick Menu. It automatically turned off after I activated that same invoking action in the Quick Menu section.

Pro tip: When you activate Quick Menu, make sure you do the invoking action on the part of the screen where you want the Quick Menu to be. Where you invoke Quick Menu is where it will show up.
